Allerdale’s Search Area has been announced – what happens next?
The Working Group have now announced a ‘Search Area’ where a site for a Geological Disposal Facility, or GDF, could potentially be found.
This online event is an opportunity for you to meet representatives from the Allerdale GDF Working Group and Radioactive Waste Management, to ask questions and find out more about the process and what this Search Area announcement means for you and your community.
The event will be held on Zoom and hosted by Community Organisers – a national charity, and the membership body and training organisation for community organising in England – who are independent of the Working Group and here to bring the community together and support you to take the lead in shaping your area.
