Citizens Advice Allerdale were awarded £94,400 for their Specialist Benefits Project. It will enable the continuation of specialist benefit appointments for local residents, which will:
Increase capacity of specialist benefit advice services, giving local residents better access to specialist benefit advice
Complete Benefit checks to identify any benefit entitlement
Assist with applications for all eligible benefits both online and paper applications
Help challenge benefits decisions at mandatory reconsideration stage
Help challenge benefits decisions to full tribunal appeals including preparation of all paperwork
