Maryport & Solway Sea Cadets
£88,337.62

Project Overview

Maryport & Solway Sea Cadets have been awarded £88,337.62 to replace deteriorating pontoons which were no longer fit for purpose.

The new safety pontoons are modern, non-perishable, maintenance-free and built-for-purpose, improving accessibility and cadet safety, allowing more young people to benefit from a wide range of water-borne activities at Unit, District and Area levels.

“Maryport and Solway Sea Cadets are thrilled to receive funding from the Allerdale GDF Community Partnership Community Investment Fund. This investment has allowed us to replace our old pontoons and continue to provide exciting opportunities for young people to safely access adventures on the water.”

– Mark Dawson, Unit Management Team Chair
