Northside Community Centre is situated in the heart of the Northside Estate in Workington and exists to develop social, educational and employment opportunities for local residents and the wider community. Centre Staff work alongside businesses and other organisations to host a range of community services and activities.
They were awarded £30,000 to employ a part-time Manager for two years.
The role will involve managing finances and room bookings, coordinating volunteers, and helping to develop community activities, thereby supporting the centre to deliver its current offering more effectively and creating opportunities for the expansion of Centre services.
